We are celebrating our sixth anniversary this month… and its been quite a ride!
The year got off to a good start for us as we released our Canadian Brewing Awards Silver Medal winner Engineer’s IPA to LCBO in 473 mL tallboy cans. It had previously been in the LCBO in 500 ml bottles as a 2016 Summer Seasonal. We are excited to have Engineer’s IPA available across Ontario as a permanent year round release.
In February, we began releasing our Destructor Series with a Barrel Aged Imperial Black Ale, followed closely by Dark Matter Cascadian Black IPA and Winter Bock. We also launched our Derail Sour Series with a Wild Cherry Berliner Weisse. (We are now up to Derail #7 #DryHopped Mango Berliner.)
In April, we won 6 Ontario Brewing Awards including Gold for our Hey! PORTER & Bronze for #BestInShow 2017. We won Silver for our Local Option Lager, Bronze for Conductor’s Craft Ale, Bronze for Trainspotter Munich Helles Lager and Bronze for our Destructor Series Winter Bock. Congrats to Doug , Tina and the entire Junction Team!
In May, we won Gold at the 2017 Canadian Brewing Awards in Ottawa for our Junction Road Black Lager, which we are pleased to announce, will be headed to LCBO in tall cans, arriving in September 2017. Schwarzbier is one of our favourite styles of beer and we feel it is a brew that can be enjoyed 12 months of the year! September 2017 will be a big month for us. We will be moving in to our new brewery at 150 Symes Road. To mark our 6th Anniversary, we are collaborating with our brewing buds at Rainhard + Shacklands Brewing on an #AleYards IPA. As official brew of Toronto Beer Week 2017, it will be released to participating bars/restaurants and also be available at the LCBO. Exciting times! We hope you can join us for the ride!
